Release changes – detailed

1.  Project Budget Items (Functionality Improvements)

When Project is in an Execution Stage, Budget items can now be created, even if there are no Change Control items:

I. If a Project in the Execution Stage has no Change Control Items to allocate a cost, Baseline Costs values will be set to 0, and only Forecast Costs will be able to be recorded against this budget item.

II. If a Project in the Execution Stage has existing Change Control Items, Forecast Costs are automatically filled once the Baseline Costs are inputted. Forecast Cost values can still be updated afterwards.

III. The Baseline Budget value is now automatically calculated as a sum of all the Baseline Costs across each Cost Period.

IV. The WBS field is now editable when Updating Budget items in Planning and Execution Projects.

2.   Bulk CSV Export of Change Control Items

A new feature has been added, where Change Control Items in a Project can be extracted via bulk CSV Export. By navigating to Project Settings and clicking the “Project CSV Export” button, the Change Control module can be selected to export all Change Control Items in a CSV file.

3.  Change Control - No auto-approval when Approvers create Change Control Items

This enhancement is implemented to force every Change Control Item to go through the approval process once they are created, no matter if an approver creates them or not. Once a Change Control Item is reviewed by the Change Control Approver and is approved, it will be approved and moved from the 'pending review' table to the 'live' Change Control Table.

4.   Project Risks, Issues & Actions- Ability to migrate with Historical Dates

This enhancement allows the migration of Project Risk, Issue and Action items that have dates in the past. This means Project Risk, Issue, and Action Items can be created and/ or updated no matter if their End Date is before or after the Current Date. However, the dates should still be within the Project Execution Date Period.

5.   Project Risks- Ability to Reopen Resolved Risks

Users are now able to reopen Project Risk items even after they have been resolved. Risk Approvers can navigate to the Details Page of the resolved risk and approve the reopening of the risk – a prompt will appear for final confirmation.

6.  My Dashboard (New UI/ UX Design)

The ‘My Dashboardpage has been enhanced with Focus HQ’s new UI/UX design which allows for simple readability and easier navigation across all tables in the page. Each table in the page has an improved view when the data items are filtered, searched, and/ or paginated.
