Release Notes: v1.0.22

The following are the major features included in this release:

 

  • Project Types & Filter >  Small, Medium, Large
  •  Categorisation to have scale up or down required modules to run projects (modules will be hidden for these projects), updatable dynamic checklist based on level, different approver levels, etc

 

  • Project > Dynamic Checklists
  •  Applied to Pipeline and Project opportunities, full kitting and closure (automated & manual)

 

  • Project - Budget – Cost Summary > Planned Column
  • Overall Total Budget (OTB) = Sum of all Baseline Budget Detailed Costs + Planned Contingency (including the Sum of All Approved ‘Scope Change’ requests that are assigned in all Detailed Costs
  • Total Expenditure To Date = All Passed Baseline Periods excludes Current Baseline Period (including the Sum of All Approved ‘Scope Change’ requests that are assigned in all Detailed Costs
  • Estimate To Complete (ETC) = All Future Baseline Periods including the Current Baseline Period (including the Sum of All Approved ‘Scope Change’ requests that are assigned in all Detailed Costs)
  • Forecast Final Cost (FFC) = Sum of all Baseline Budget Detailed Costs excluding the Planned Contingency (including the Sum of All Approved ‘Scope Change’ requests that are assigned in all Detailed Costs)
  • Variance (FFC to CB) = "0"
  • Contingency =
    Note: Within the ‘Budget Module’, the Planned Contingency must be shown as a financial value (the ‘Update’ page is where it is shown as a %)
    - This amount is the financial value of the Contingency % that is selected
    - eg, Calculate the allocated “Planned Contingency %” from the total Sum of all Baseline Budget Detailed Costs (eg, 12% contingency and $100,000 total Sum of all Baseline Budgets = Contingency of $12,000)


  • Project - Schedule: Duplicate issue when Importing
  • Prevent duplicate when 1 user refreshes screen while Importing and re-importing
  • Prevent duplicate during multi-user import

 

  • Project Risk > Resolved Risk > Display both the Due Date and Resolution Date
  • After Resolving the Risk, both the Due Date and Resolution Date will be displayed

 

  • Project Activities > Activity Type column > Automatic > To Display WBS
  • Activity Type column to determine an Activity is manually created in Activities module "Manual", or automatically pulled from Schedule module "Automatic".
  • For 'Automatic', it determines what Schedule WBS it is

 

  • IE11 Project Report > Review PDF  > Should force the PDF download (instead of auto open)
  • When user click Review PDF button, System will temporary Save their update to generate a PDF. It will be downloaded as a file (instead of auto open)

 

  • Project Settings > Project Work Stream
  • We added Project Workstream section in Live/Full-Kitting/Ready to Start Settings page
  • Associate every module item against a Work Streams (managed in the Project Type template and in the ‘Project Settings’ section)
  • Defaults:
    • ‘Overall Project’ - can not be deleted ,to be used for old client data
    • Design - can be edited/removed
    • Build - can be edited/removed
    • Test - can be edited/removed
    • Deploy - can be edited/removed

 

  • Project Modules > Work Stream
  • Modules to have Work Streams:
    Risks, Issues, Deliverables, Quality Management, Change Control, Resourcing
  • The 1 default will always be: ‘Overall Project’
  • This is what we will use for the Migration of the current client data as well (e.g., all of their Projects will have 1 Work Stream, which is ‘Overall Project’)

 

  • Project Adhoc Reports > Filter by Work Stream
  • Only for Project Adhoc Reports, we will add an ability to break/filter Report by Work Stream
  • Default would be "Overall Project"
  • Project Work Streams is managed in Project Settings page 
  • When Project Work Stream selected, it will filter Report module data associated to that Work Stream only, meaning data which do not belong to the Work Stream selected will be ignored, not included in the reporting.

 

  •  Portfolio > Adhoc Reports > Filter Report by Department and Project Category
  • For Portfolio > Adhoc Reports , we will add a Filter for Report by Department and Project Category
  • Be able to Filter Report by Department and Project Category
    • “Department”
    • “Project Category"
      • Eg, they can select to see All Project Categories that are within ‘x’ Department
      • Eg, they can select to see All Departments that are within ‘x’ Project Category
      • Eg, they can select to see Projects within ‘y’ Category and that is assigned to ‘x’ Department

 

  •  Project/Pipeline Dashboard - Add Department column
  • Added a Department column in Project/Pipeline Dashboard including Internal Dashboards 
  • This is updated in PDFs and CSV as well

 

  • Company Profile - Departments > "# of Projects" column
  • Added to the ‘Company Profile > Departments’ a column called ‘# Projects’ (that are assigned to that department) 

 

  • Project > Department Field/Dropdown
  • Added “Department” dropdown/field for Opportunity/ Approved Opportunity/ Full-Kitting/or Live Project in the New/Update/Review pages.

 

  • Company Settings > Company Team Member Profile > Resource Utilization
  • We are going to add a new section under the ‘Member Details’ and ‘Project Associations' that is called “Resource Utilisation"
  • This will show the the Users Capacity at a Company Level, the Capacity given to the Resource in the Project, and how much ‘Available Capacity' a user as available for a particular period. (e.g., if a user has a ‘Company Capacity’ of 80% and only assigned to one project at 40%, I can see he has 40% available for another month)

 

  • Project Level > Resourcing > Capacity
  • We are adding % Resources Capacity" and '% Roles Capacity"
  • We will be adding the Capacities to the Resources
  • In the ‘Resource’ dropdown menu, the text “ - xx% Capacity” will be added to the right of the Resources Name (e.g., John Smith – 50% Capacity)
  • In the ‘Role’ dropdown menu, the text “ - xx% Capacity” will be added to the right of the Roles Name (e.g., Finance Design Lead – 50% Capacity)
  • Functionality: IF the Resource Capacity is higher than the Role Capacity, a pop-up box message will appear when the users clicks the “Add Assignment” that says “Resource has a higher capacity that the Role being assigned" The options in the Pop-Up are “Yes, still Assign” (blue button) or “No, Cancel” (grey button).
  • Functionality: IF the Role Capacity is higher than the Resource Capacity, a pop-up box message will appear when the users clicks the “Add Assignment” that says “Role has a higher capacity that the Resource being assigned" The options in the Pop-Up are “Yes, still Assign” (blue button) or “No, Cancel” (grey button).
  • Note: For ALL pull down data (e.g., showing in ‘Reports’, Data tables, etc), the ‘Resource Capacity’ within the Project is used (not the Project Capacity)
  • Important: A Resource can ONLY be assigned to ONE Role at the same time (e.g., A Resource cannot be assigned to 2 Roles on the same date) BUT a Resource can be assigned to multiple Roles if the dates are NOT the exact same

 

  • Portfolio > Resourcing
  • We are going to add a new section that is called “Resource Utilisation"

  • Fixing Logic to match the new data saving for historical period, ETC and To Date Forecast

 

  • Portfolio Overview > Update Visual
  • Show project ‘Overall Trend / Status’, add each 4 status to trends and show ”Actual FFC” next to “Current Budget” within cost columns
