  • Password Rules
  • In order to create a higher security level for Focus HQ passwords, the following validation rules will be applied immediately. Every client is responsible for keeping their Focus HQ Password secure.
  • Impacts:
  • All new users
  • Existing users when required to change password
  • User will be unable to save password if in breach of one or more of the rules below
  • Note these rules do not impact existing passwords.
  • Rule 1 – Password Length: Password must be at least 8 characters in length. 
  • Rule 2 – Password Characters:
  • Can contain all alphabetic characters e.g. sunshine or alphanumeric e.g. sunshine87
  • Only numeric characters is no longer acceptable e.g. 12345678
  • Rule 3 – User Name: Password containing words similar to user’s Login Name or email address is no longer acceptable.
  • Example: Login Name: Testuser, passwords like Testuser1 or Testuser is no longer acceptable.
  • Rule 4 – Common Passwords:List of common passwords have been identified as not acceptable

  • Dashboard > Data Source (applies to both Project and Pipeline)
  • To improve the performance when launching the Data Source page, the page has been split so that only the data entry columns will initially be visible.  All calculation fields by default will be hidden.
  • By default, all editable fields will be visible for user.  For Project level this occurs when period field is selected (weekly or monthly)
  • Calculation fields will continue to automatically update based on data entered.
  • User continues to have the ability to view calculation fields by selecting icon 
  • User continues to have the ability to export all fields (editable and calculated)
  • User continues to have the ability to import editable fields

 

  • Company > Custom Budget Data Set Section
  • This update allows a client to add custom budget data within projects and portfolios in addition to the Baseline, Forecast and Actual cost values.
  • In the Company Settings page, a Custom Budget Data Set section has been added with an Edit Page if a user wants to rename the "Custom Budget Data Set” label. Based on the label set for the "Custom Budget Data Set", it will display dynamically in other applicable pages plus Export CSV columns.
  • As default setting the "Custom Budget Data Set" is toggled OFF. If enabled on the Company level, all Projects/Portfolios will have the same Custom Budget Data Set fields.

 

  • Portfolio/Project > Budget > Manual and CSV Imports > Custom Budget Data Set Fields/Columns
  • This functionality will add “Custom Budget Data Set” fields/columns for Budget in both, manual additions and CSV Imports.
  • These fields/columns will be displayed in:
  • Add New pages
  • Edit pages
  • Details pages  

 

  • Portfolio/Project > Overview & Budget > Cost Performance Chart  
  • This update will include the “Custom Budget Data Set” bar graph in the Project/Portfolio Budget > Cost Performance Chart and in Project/Portfolio Overview > Cost Performance Chart.
  • This update will also be applied in:
  • Project/Portfolio Report Pages
  • Download PDFs
  • PDF Reports

 

  • Portfolio/Project Budget > Detailed Cost Table > Additional Period Filters and Calculations for Export  
  • Additional Filter options will be added under Project Budget> Detailed Cost Table > Period Filter
  • At the bottom of the Period filter a dropdown menu will display:

  • (2) 'Current FY Estimate to Complete' will be ETC column Sub-Totals row computed as the sum of Forecast cost values from March 2019 up to April 2019.
  • (3) FY Totals: for
  • (3a) FY Totals for Plans will be Baseline Budget column Sub-Totals row computed as the sum of Baselined cost values from September 2018 up to April 2019
  • (3b) FY Totals for Custom Budget Data Set (only if the Company has enabled Custom Budget Data Set from the Company page) will be computed as the sum of Custom Budget Data Set Costs from September 2018 up to April 2019
  • (3c) FY Totals for Forecast will be Forecast Period column Sub-Totals row computed as the sum of Forecast cost values from September 2018 up to April 2019
  • (3d) FY Totals for Actuals will be Actuals Period column Sub-Totals row computed as the sum of Actuals Cost values from September 2018 up to April 2019.



  • If filtered by "ALL"
  • (4) 'Project To Date' will be Actual to Date column: Totals row computed as the sum of Past Period Actual Costs from Project Start Date September 2017 up to February 2019
  • (5) 'Project Estimate to Complete' will be ETC column Totals row computed as the sum of Forecast cost values from March 2019 up to April 2019.



  • New columns will be added in the Detailed Cost Table  for:
  • (Custom Budget Data Set Period
  • Custom Budget Data Set To Date

 

  • Portfolio/Project Settings > CSV Export > Budget > Additional Calculation Columns  
  • This update in Project/Portfolio Settings > Budget > Cost CSV extract will include 5 new columns:

  • Search Actions Field expanded to include Action ID data
  • Ability to export to either CSV/PDF format according to the search and filter options selected by the user (within Action Tracking Module)
