1. Adding a Dashboard Item - Column & Line Graph


1. In the dashboard section, click ‘+ Add Item’ and select ‘Graph’ from the drop-down menu. 


 

2. Set the Graph Type as ‘Clustered’ or ‘Stacked’. 


  • Clustered Graph – graph displayed is separated or grouped based on the X-axis value

 

  • Stacked Graph – graph displayed is stacked on a single bar

 

 

3. Next, set a Title to your graph limited to 100 characters. 

 

 

4. Select the ‘Section’ to which the Dashboard item will be displayed.



5. Add a ‘Description’ to the Dashboard item that will be added. You are allowed to enter up to 250 characters only.


 

6. In the ‘Legends’ section, the ‘Legend Data Filter’ is set to Data Source by default. Select the Data Source Period either Weekly or Monthly from the drop-down list.


7. In the X-Axis section, set an Axis Label which is limited to 100 characters only. Select "Period" for the X-Axis Data


8. The data in Length is dependent on the data selected from the Data Source field. If Monthly was selected, then by default the length is monthly and if Weekly was selected, then data length is Weekly.


9. Select the Display of the monthly or weekly data from the drop-down list. This will determine the scope of the data to be pulled and displayed.


10. Tick the "Show Plot Line" check box if you wish to show a plot line which could be a Portfolio's end date. Enter the Plot Legend Name limited to 100 characters and click on the calendar to select the Plot Line Date.


11. In the Y-Axis section set a name to the Y-Axis Label. Next select a graph Type either a Line Chart or a Column Chart from the drop-down menu. 


 

12. The Y-Axis 1 Data is set to Data Source by default so the data pulled to be displayed in the Y-Axis will be pulled from the data source. Next, select the Data Type from the drop-down list. 


13. Select the Data Source Columns from the drop down list. By default, the value of this field is set to All.


14. If the graph type selected is Column Chart, the checkboxes for Display Values in Graph and Show Total Spline is displayed. Ticking the checkbox for Display Values in Graph allows you to display the values per column in the graph. Ticking the Show Total Spline allows you to display the Total Spline values. Add a name for the Total Spline Title limited to 100 characters.


15. Should you wish to add another set of Y-Axis data, just tick the checkbox for Include Y-Axis 2. Repeat steps 11 to 14 to fill out the required data fields. You can only add a second Y-Axis. Once all of the X and Y Axis data have been accomplished, click the Add Item button.
