Description

Benefit ImpactA quantitative value where a benefit measure of a project will be impacted.
Change BenefitThe benefit of implementing a change to the Project. Examples of benefits include mitigation of an issue, an increase in deliverable, or an overall positive impact on the project.  
Change ControlOnce a project has been baselined and a work breakdown structure (WBS) has been established, any changes to scope, timeline, budget, or final deliverable need to be approved through a change control process.

A change control process is a review of the proposed change done by stakeholders, project owner, or other staff who are able to make informed decisions. Changes are generally only approved if it adds value or contributes to the success of the project.
Change Control TypeType of Change:
* Contingency - no change to original project scope but changes requested impacting deliverables milestones, finish date, or additional funding.
* Scope - direct change to the original scope of project, impacting deliverables, milestones timelines or funding
Change DetailsAn overview of an individual changes raised and any associated actions.

When assessing a change, it is important the details provides a reader with a clear understanding of the impact to the project this includes cost, time, or deliverable outcome.

It is equally important to understand the value the change may bring as well. The change control board will assess the return on investment (ROI) to see if it should be approved or rejected.    
Change IDUnique identifier generated and assigned to a Change when created and saved.
Change ImpactThe project areas/modules likely to be impacted by the change. User has option to selected multiple areas from dropdown list.
ChangesAn overview of all changes raised and current status.   It is important the details provides a reader a clear understanding  of change and the impact to the project.  This includes cost, time, and benefits the change will bring.  

Cost Impact

Budget Change - Financial cost either increase or decrease impacting the project baseline and/or forecast budget

DescriptionA comprehensive detail of the change request. This should include specific information on the "what", the "why" and the "solution". The summary should provide anyone reviewing the document with a better understanding of the change item.
Metric MeasureMetric measure options  for data to be entered in the Benefit Impact field:
* Financial
* Number
* Percentage
No Change ImpactThe impact on the Project if the Change not approved. Provides both the approver and project team with an understanding on the possible impacts and consequences that may occur in the event that the change is rejected or approval delayed.  
Remarks/ ActionsAdditional details on the change within the Project. This includes anything pertaining to the change request such as the justification for it and details of the approval or denial of the request.
Scope Change DescriptionScope Change - comprehensive details of the scope change needs to be clear and specific in order for review to have a full understanding of the scope change under consideration
Start DateEffective start date of the change, default is today's date but user has ability to change start date either past and future date if necessary to align to business processes.

Status

Status of the change request after analysis:
* Approved- The Change was reviewed and the approves the request
* Pending approval- The Change request was submitted but not reviewed by the board
* Rejected- The Change was reviewed and the board rejects the request

Term Change DescriptionCommercial Terms/Contractual -  Change - comprehensive details of the change to existing contracts needs to be clear and specific in order for review to have a full understanding of  change under consideration

Time Impact (days)

Schedule Change - the number of days either increase or decrease impacting the project baseline and/or forecast duration

Workstreams are core areas of activities in your project. Could be a department in your organisation (i.e Operations or Marketing) or an ongoing activity in your project (i.e Testing or Implementation).
