1. How to Setup Project Approval Responsibilities

  • To navigate to the Project  ‘Settings’ page, open Project Focus HQ tool using this link https://app.projectfocushq.com/accounts/login/.
  • Login using your ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ and click the ‘Log-in’ button.
  • Once logged in you will reach the Company’s Homepage, within the ‘Tiles’ section, navigate to ‘Project Dashboard’ by clicking the ‘All Projects’ the or ‘Projects’ from the main navigation.

 

 

  • In the ‘Project Dashboard’ section, click on the ‘Name’ of the ‘Project’ that you want to manage.
    Note: In this section you can only see the Projects assigned to you unless the administrator has provided you a Company Access Level to all Projects.


 

  • Once a project is selected, go to the left sidebar and click on ‘Settings’ as shown below.




 

6. To setup the Project Approval Responsibilities within a Project, click the ‘Settings’ tab from the left sidebar of the page. Once done, navigate to the ‘Project Approver Responsibilities’ sections.


7. Tick the checkboxes to make a Role an Approver to various modules


8. Untick the checkboxes to remove an Approver’s right from a Role.

 

Note: There should be at least 1 Approver for each Responsibilities.


 

Below are the following Approver Responsibilities:

  • Project: Schedule Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all schedule updates during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • ‘Project: Risk Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all risks during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • ‘Project: Issue Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all issues during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • ‘Project: Budget Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all cost updates during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • ‘Project: Change Control Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all change request during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • ‘Project: Quality Man' Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all quality updates during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
  • Project: KPI Approver’ – User receiving approval / rejection requests for all KPI updates during the running of a project (no 'approval' required if this user is the one doing the update)
